What beginners should expect:
It is never too late to learn Jiu-Jitsu. In fact, it’s said that the best time to start Jui-Jitsu training is when you are 10 and TODAY! Although it’s certainly an advanced martial art, Jui-Jitsu training is also something which beginners can embark upon quite easily and at any age. The typical class consists of an invigorating warm up, technique instruction, and open sparring/rolling. The flexibility of Jui-Jitsu instruction allows each beginner to tailor their training to their individual needs and abilities.
Beginners to Jiu-Jitsu should expect at least 3 to 6 months of solid training before seeing significant returns in their technique and physical conditioning, and at least 12 months of training to get a solid grasp of the basics.
